Cookers set for a night of music at Pynelogs

Music lovers will enjoy a show by The Cookers on April 24 at Pynelogs Cultural Centre.

Pynelogs Cultural Centre in Invermere will once again be giving music lovers the chance to come out and be entertained as it will host a show by The Cookers on April 24.

The group came together in March of 2010 as a way for five like-minded musicians to play together on a weekly basis and create an environment where original music could be played in a club setting.

The group’s first recording was made possible by each musician’s deep commitment to the music and the cause.

This recording is a true example of Canadian music at a grass roots level.  As an added bonus one of the members of the group, Morgan Child, is originally from Invermere. Child had spent 10 years on the Vancouver music scene before making the move to Toronto in the fall of 2009.

During that time he had built an international career as a performer with some of the world’s finest musicians.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at The Book Bar or at Pynelogs.

Tickets will be $18 for adults if purchased early and $10 for students. Tickets at the door will be $20 with  show time being at 7:30 p.m.
