Faye Riches

Congratulations to Comrade Faye Riches, who has given selflessly her time and energy in volunteering hundreds of hours of work this past year at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 71.

In addition to her work as Branch Secretary, Riches has served as a member of the Financial Committee, Membership Committee, Way and Means Committee and, most recently, as Chair of Honours and Awards Committee. Riches has also run meat draws and cooked or helped in the preparation of many of the Legion’s Friday dinners.

Her efforts, combined with the other highly active volunteers, has resulted in a highly successful year for the branch.

For these reasons, the Legion is honoured to award the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2010 to Comrade Faye Riches, for the time and effort she has expended in making the branch successful.
