Invermere’s Snowflake Festival lit up Lake Windermere January 20, bringing out a crowd for snacks at a Taste of Invermere, musical stylings from the band L8 (bottom right), bonfires, skating and other wintery activities including a fireworks display.

Festival-goers also got a chance to watch the opening rounds of this year’s Invermere Curling Club Bonspiel on the Lake, as teams from Western Canada and the U.S. played out their opening matches. The weekend curling event ran into the small hours of the morning, then continued throughout the weekend.
