Man found shot in Windermere

In the early evening of March 25  Columbia Valley detachment members were called to a complaint of a gunshot being heard on Government Street in Windermere.

On attendance police located a male in a vehicle with a self-inflicted wound.

A shotgun was found near the 52-year-male.  The male was treated at the Invermere Hospital before being moved to Cranbrook where he was later air-lifted to Calgary by STARS.

No further information has been received on the extent of the injuries, sustained from the gunshot to the left shoulder area.
