Between January and June, the Columbia Valley detachment responded to 784 calls, compared to 854 over the same period in 2010. Of the calls, 242 came from Invermere (compared to 274 in 2010), while 64 came from Radium (which had 91 last year by this time). In Canal Flats, the number of calls was mostly unchanged, rising only slightly from 35 to 38.
