Valley teachers were back at Pothole Park today to rally as the province-wide teachers’ strike moves into its second day.

Members of the Windermere Valley Teachers’ Association were joined by other local unions, including the Canadian Union of Public Employees.

A decision by the Labour Relations Board prohibits B.C. teachers from picketing at school buildings, but local association president Doug Murray says people should expect to see them out in the community during the strike, which continues through Wednesday.

Teachers have been encouraged to talk to the public about issues around the strike, but Murray says how they do so is up to them.
