The Invermere Roller Derby ladies took their first steps towards true team gaming when they held their first ever practice on May 1 at the Invermere Curling Club.

The ladies practiced skating drills and took a few falls in the beginning, but coach Chris “Meathammer” Corey has a positive outlook on the future of the budding team, which is already described as “promising”.
