Mary Murphy, Irish singer and writer, will be gracing the stage in Invermere October 29.

Lauded as “the personification, and the heart and soul of Ireland” by Will Millar of the Irish Rovers, Murphy brings her warm nature and love of music to the Columbia Valley courtesy of CV Arts.

Born in Dublin, Ireland, and now residing in Canada, Murphy’s music embraces various forms of Celtic Folk music, including original, traditional and contemporary songs. Murphy not only sings these songs, she surpasses them, building a musical bridge between herself and the audience.

It may be her gift of melody and lyric that is so attractive, or her rich and seemingly effortless vocal style, or perhaps her enticingly warm Irish nature; but whatever combinations move this woman, they promote and sustain fans from every age group and from every walk of life.

A multi-talented musician, Mary’s writing ability shows not only in her novel writing, but through her upbeat and melodic lyrics. Mary’s Irish wit and storytelling also ring clear and prove to be yet another way in which her audiences find themselves feeling personally connected and drawn into her world.

Mary Murphy will be performing Saturdays October 29, at 7:30 p.m. at Pynelogs. Tickets are available at The Book Bar, Essentials and One Hour Photo in Invermere, as well as Radium Video and Fairmont Gift Shop.
