Smooth ride at Rail Jam

Skiers and snowboarders will have a chance to earn more style points on the slopes of Panorama Mountain Village at the Rockstar Syndicate Rail Jam. The event is currently scheduled for three nights this winter at Panorama Mountain Village. The first event January 22 showed off the skills and fun side of the Rail Jam with competitors having a blast in the evening.

Rail Jam is open to both skiers and snowboarders and is a freestyle event which encourages progression with its jam-style format.

Riders of all ages are allowed to take on the rails as much as they want, but will be called to do two judged runs which are eligible for prizes.

The event is easily accessible for pedestrians and is excellent fun for spectators under the night lights with the music pumping.

The Rail Jam will be set up in the heart of the Upper Village just above the Great Hall. This year, with night skiing on the Mile 1 Quad adjacent to the rail jam area, it is expected that many regional visitors will come to enjoy the night skiing while taking in the freestyle action at the same time.

The final two nights for the event will be held on February 19 and March 19.

Competitors must be registered ($10 per person per event) at Panorama Guest Services before 6 p.m. on the day of the event with training runs begin at 6:30 p.m. The offical competition will start at 7 p.m.
