As part of Kootenay Savings regional commitment to health care, employees from the Invermere, Kimberley and Radium Hot Springs branches joined forces with the Kootenay Savings Community Foundation throughout 2010 to raise close to $22,000 for STARS Air Ambulance, whose fleet of helicopters provides airborne intensive care to critically ill and injured patients.

The branches co-ordinated a myriad of fundraising events, from raffles to barbecues to cook book sales, with all the proceeds matched by the Community Foundation.

In addition to funds that had already been awarded, Dario Cescon, Jim Craig, Christa Gubler, Trisha Raven, Terri Lightfoot, Janice McGregor, Michelle Wittman, Michelle Stewart and Angel Bristow of Kootenay Savings recently presented Shane Scott and Tim Hungate from STARS (front row) with a cheque for  $19,692.94, capping off a very successful fundraising campaign.
