WEST KOOTENAY — Local medal winners at this year’s B.C. Seniors Games include:

Eric Brown of Edgewater, silver in men’s 60 to 64 badminton

Herb Weller of Invermere, gold in men’s 55 to 59 10 km road race and bronze in men’s 55 to 59 5,000 metre race

Ed Kluczny of Invermere, gold in men’s 85 to 89 10 km road walk and gold in men’s 85 to 89 5,000 metre power walk

Ray Neratko of Invermere, gold in the men’s 65 to 69 ARC 3D target Shoot and ARC target shoot

Terry Taft of Invermere and Cranbrook’s Petra Ware teamed up for a silver finish in women’s 55 to 59 badminton doubles

Congratulations to all the athletes who represented East Kootenay (Zone 7) in this year’s B.C. Seniors Games.

The games were held in Nelson, Castlegar and Trail from August 16 to 20, and drew about 3,100 athletes aged 55 and up.
