COLUMBIA VALLEY — Strong Start and Baby Goose are back in Invermere, Edgewater and Canal Flats for the 2011-12 school season.

Co-ordinator Yolanda Dolman says the Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy has located a new facilitator for the infant and early child groups.

Baby Goose, a program for babies and toddlers under 18 months, encourages early language development through rhymes, finger-plays, songs and stories. It runs at Eileen Madson Primary School on Friday mornings starting September 16.

Strong Start, a ‘learn through play’ early years program runs Mondays at Martin Morigeau Elementary, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Eileen Madson, and Wednesdays and Fridays at Edgewater Elementary. Its first session will be in Edgewater on September 21.

There is no admission fee for the programs.
